worth starting.

setting the table:

We're starting this because we love hosting, we love Jesus, and we really love bringing people together around a table. We don't want to neglect community or the kind of nights that make you feel alive. We appreciate fun things and fine things, and honestly? We just want you to feel happy when you're here.

Think of this less like a how-to guide and more like you're following along with us. We're throwing dinner parties, trying new things, making spaces feel like home, and inviting you into it all.

This month we celebrated our friends birthday with a 7-course French meal for 12 people (6 couples). The theme? Lorelai Gilmore in France. The inspiration was centered around Mindy and her love for snow, for coffee, and for having a good time jusstttt like Lorelai. It was extra and beautiful and exactly the kind of night we want to keep creating.

hosting tip

hosting tip

have a little “bus tub” ready to clear plates after each course so you aren’t having to carry awkward stacks to the kitchen.

French Onion Soup

TO DIE FOR

This is one of those appetizers that feels impressive but requires very little last-minute effort. Make it ahead, finish it under the broiler just before guests arrive, and let it shine. Even better, it’s endlessly adaptable. Beautiful in everything from small bowls to mugs, making presentation part of the experience.

any extra

I'm Aly. I'm 33, married, raising three littles, and I'm always planning the next gathering before the last one even ends lol. I've been this way for as long as I can remember, I just love celebrating things. Any excuse to set the table and have people over, whether planned or spontaneous works for me. I like to say that I collect people and moments. The kind of nights where everyone's still sitting around the table way too late because no one wants to leave yet. Honestly? There's nothing better than good food and good conversation. The kind where someone's telling a story and everyone stops eating to listen, or laughs so hard about the weirdest thing.

I like fun. I like color. I like thrifting. I like laughing. I like sports and games and anything competitive and I do normally have to tone that down with guests over. And most of what I know about hosting and making people feel like they matter? I observed by people in my family and my church who have always loved me well, especially my grandmas. They're the real ones. So that's me. And this is to us - pulling up more chairs. 4ever.
